I am currently moving back to La Crosse in February and am mulling around the notion of putting together a band. I have been playing solo acoustic professionally for the last 2 years now and have been fortunate enough to perform all over MN, WI, and IA racking up 110+ shows during said time period. While I still plan on playing as a solo artist; I have also found the itch to create more of a layered sound. Whether it's through a full band or something smaller... All in all, I'm looking to develop a new project that will hopefully create meaningful artistic music that can stand on its own.
Also, as stated before, I plan on still performing as a solo artist and encourage anyone else in the band to also do so as well. With that being said, however, I'm only looking for musicians who are seriously looking to develop a new project. After the 'kinks are worked out we would work towards the notion of being an active band with as many shows as possible.
All in all, I'm looking for artists who love music... who want to make great, powerful, gritty, unique music... who are serious about their craft... who are dedicated to starting a new project... and who are looking to move on past being a garage band and potentially work towards something bigger (however with an emphasis more on music than anything else).
Cheers.
If you think you want to be part of this then contact me at TonyZobeck@yahoo.com or send a message via the contact section of this site. When sending an email make sure to send a bio (what do you play, your influences, where are you from, etc.) of yourself. This will help to distinguish who is who when the selection process goes ahead.
A showing of what you can do will follow; as well as a process of trying to see if everyone meshes creatively and personally.

Influences are ranging from (but not limited too): Damien Rice, Glen Hansard (Solo & work w/ The Frames), OneRepublic, Coldplay, Martin Sexton, Goo Goo Dolls, The Fray.
In no way am I looking for anyone who would label themselves a "rockstar". It may work for some people, however, I'm looking for artists/musicians who are looking to develop an artistic and somewhat unique sound. If you're someone who needs/wants to get blitzed before a show then I'm afraid that this is not the band for you. I'm looking for artists who are serious about their craft and want to create something powerful musically. While I have never been in a band, I have friends who have seen theirs come and go due to a lack of communication/comfortability. If you feel like your bass player is always impaired then you'll never really trust what he does on stage... and trust is a major part of this game.
I'm looking for (however not in need of them all) a bass player, guitarist (opposite of myself), drums (full set or whatever is available), and potentially piano, Violinist, and/or cellist. While all of these pieces are not necessarily needed... This is what I would see as being ideal.
Ages 21 - 30. The only reason I put any sort of cap either way is so that those within the band are semi-close in age. This makes it easier for various reasons.
While covers may be needed to initially develop a report musically... In the end I would like for this band to be an all original band (Songs written by us exclusively). Writing will be open to anyone who wants to collaborate and will draw on many forms of music (ie: folk, blues, rock, alternative, etc.). This will be the most important part of it all. Good music, strong music will be the ticket to any form of success in the end.
